Day
1 Saigon
Upon
arrival in Saigon you will be met at the airport by our representative
and transferred to your hotel for check in and tour briefing. If
time permits, we'll make a walking tour around downtown Saigon,the
biggest city in Vietnam. Overnight in Saigon.
Day
2 Saigon (B)
Our
morning tour of Saigon city includes the legendary network of underground
combat tunnels in Cu Chi and the Caodai Sect. noon
services at the opulent Holy See Temple in Tay Ninh. Later
we drive to Cho Lon - the thriving commercial hub called
Saigon's China Town -where you can visit Thien Hau pagoda.
We also visit the Post Office, the Reunification Palace and
the Notre Dame Cathedral - the best of the city's architectural
landmarks. Later we have the opportunity for some souvenir shopping
in downtown Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day
3 Saigon - Mekong Delta (B, L)
This
morning we journey to Vinhlong in the heart of the Mekong
Delta. Along the way we visit the traditional floating market
of Cai Be and then take a fascinating walk through orchards
of mangoes, coconuts and bananas.
Continuing
on our journey we paddle our sampan to the beautiful
Binh Hoa Phuoc Island and sample exotic fruits of the region
before driving back to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day
4 Saigon - Danang - Hoian (B)
We
take a morning flight to Danang and see the Cham museum,
Marble Mountains and the China Beach. We then drive
some 30km south to Hoian. The remainder of the day we explore Hoian
town. Wander its peaceful narrow streets, view the centuries-old
architecture which combines influences from the many exotic trading
communities that traded in Hoian. Late afternoon, we have the opportunity
to take a boat ride down the Thu Bon River or relaxing on
the beautiful sandy beach of Cua Dai. Overnight in
Hoian.
Day
5 Hoian - Hue (B, L)
Leaving
behind the peaceful atmosphere of Hoian we travel north, passing
the beautiful Hai Van Pass and stopping at the scenic Lang
Co Beach en route to Hue. Arriving Hue, we settle into our hotel
and enjoy the hotel's amenities till dinner, which is served 'royal
style'. Overnight in Hue.
Day
6 Hue (B, L)
This
morning we take a boat trip along the serene Perfume River
to visit Thien Mu pagoda, the most revered Buddhist site
in Central Vietnam. We move on to the mausoleum of Tu Duc
which is situated on a serene hill and is a life-size palace for
the Emperor in his after-life. In the afternoon, we visit the
Royal Citadel Cultural Heritage site and the bustling Dong
Ba market full of exotic sights and sounds. Overnight in Hue.
Day
7 Hue- Hanoi (B)
Morning
flight to Hanoi, where we will be greeted upon arrival and transferred
to your hotel in the city of the Rising Dragon, the cultural and
political heart of Vietnam. Afternoon, we explore the main downtown
areas of Hanoi on 'cyclo' transportation. Evening is highlighted
by a wonderful water puppet performance, which is a traditional
form of Vietnamese art. Overnight in Hanoi.

8 Hanoi
(B)
Today
we continue exploring Hanoi, taking in the city's outstanding tourist
sites such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Single Pillar Pagoda,
West Lake and the Temple of Literature. We also have
an opportunity to gain an insight into the city's culture and even
learn calligraphy. Our tour proceeds to the Museum of
Ethnology where we can further understand the country's ethnic
cultural diversities. Finally, we take a walking tour to explore
the lively streets in the old quarter of Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day
9 Hanoi - Halong (B,
L, D)
Today we journey east to Vietnam's greatest natural wonder, Halong
Bay. We shall spend the afternoon cruising the bay's 3,000 magnificent
limestone islets, visiting a cavern filled with rock marvels and
rowing into tranquil lagoon. If the temperature is favourable we
can enjoy a swim in the opal water caressing Titov Island.
We spend overnight on board the deluxe junk in Halong Bay
Day
10 Halong-Hanoi (B)
After
breakfast we continue cruising amongst the thousands of limestone
islets of Halong bay, Vietnam's most spectacular natural scenery
before returning to Hanoi. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day
11 Hanoi - Luang Prabang (LAOS) (B)
We
fly to Luang Prabang, the UNESCO Heritage city in Laos. Meet up
with your new guide at the airport and tour this fascinating city.
Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in
Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town's splendid
scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places
to visit in Laos. This afternoon, we visit the impressive stupa
of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai. We
then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable
exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as the beautiful
sunset view. We then explore the iridescent Night Market,
admiring a lovely selection of handmade textiles and silver wares.

Day
12 Luang Prabang (B)
Today,
we tour the city's oldest temple Wat Sene and the magnificent
Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping down to the ground.
We then embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River
to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed
with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes
and sizes left by devoted pilgrims. We also visit the village of
Ban Xanghai which producing the wine called "On The Rock".
Later we travel to see the skills of the hand weaving women in the
village of Ban Phanom. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

13 Luang Prabang (B)
An
early start today will bring about the fantastic opportunity to
participate in the unique daily morning rituals of saffron-clad
monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice)
from devout residents. We will then visit some villages of Lao ethnic
minority groups at Ban Ouay, Ban Ou and Ban Thapene, before the
beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall. The fall offers a chance to
cool off with a refreshing swim in the turquoise pools or to walk
along the forest trails. We continue to Ban Xangkhong, the
village well known for its Saa (jute) Paper. Return to the city
for overnight stay.

14 Luang Prabang - Vientiane (B)
Before
the noon flight to Vientinane, we visit the National Museum housed
in the former Royal Palace and see a lovely collection of
the artifact from the last royal family. In the afternoon, we have
an overview tour around the colonial area and to the
Friendship Bridge in Vientiane. Overnight in Vientiane.

15 Vientiane (B)
A
full day touring of the city's major sights including: Wat Sisaket
with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, the former royal temple
of Wat Prakeo, sacred That Luang Stupa, the central market
and the Revolutionary Museum. Overnight in Vientiane.
Day
16 Vientiane-Phnom Penh (Cambodia) (B)
Board a morning flight to Phnom Penh and have a city tour visit
the main sites in this historic city including the Royal Palace,
Silver Pagoda, National Museum and the Central Market.
Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day
17 Phnom Penh - Siem Reap (B)
Early this morning we take a fast speed boat to Siem Reap,
downstream along the Mekong River. This memorable journey
takes about 5 hours. In the afternoon we will visit the South Gate
of Angkor Thom, Giant faces of Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, Elephant
Terrace and Terrace of Leper King. Later we can hike up Bakheng
Hill to see the magnificent sunset disappearing behind the Angkor
temples. Dinner with Apsara dancers. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day
18 Siem Reap - Angkor Wat (B)
Today
we continue exploring the ancient city and temples of Angkor
Thom. This afternoon we'll visit the epic Angkor Wat complex,
the wonderful 8th -13th century remains of a now disappeared civilization.
The splendid Temple of Angkor, partially annihilated by invading
armies and hidden for centuries by the forest is remarkable for
its powerful architecture and magical presence. Overnight in Siem
Reap.
Day
19 Siem Reap - Departure (B)
Morning
visit to Pour Krom, walking through the lovely village to
see local life. Continue to the Les Artisans d'Angkor, the
rebirth of Khmer Arts, before going to the airport for your departure
flight to your onward connection.
